GREENLAWN CEMETERY: A PLACE FOR FRIENDS, FAMILY, AND NEIGHBORS

Nahant’s Greenlawn Cemetery: A Place for Friends, Family, and Neighbors.

Greenlawn Cemetery is more than a final resting place.  It is a peaceful sanctuary containing stories of community compassion, courage, wonder, and loss.

Join Ken Turino, Essex Heritage Trustee and formerly of Historic New England, and historian Chris Mathias for a two-hour walking tour of Nahant’s Greenlawn Cemetery, hosted by the Nahant Historical Society as part of Essex Heritage’s Trails & Sails program.  Hear the stories of community ensconced in the well-manicured rows of ornate monuments and plain markers.
