Thank you for your interest in holding your event at the Nahant-Life Saving Station. Dating back to 1898 and restored in 2010, the Nahant Life-Saving Station is the ideal location for any type of indoor/outdoor event. Boasting a prime beach-front location and historic charm, the Station will create an unforgettable memory with the quintessential New England view as your backdrop. We are very proud of the new life of the Station and we are certain it will provide a good experience for your event.

RENTAL NOTES

1) A Nahant Police Detail is required for all events.

2) The total time of your event must be a minimum of 4 hours, which needs to include at least one hour for setup, and one hour for cleanup, which is the renters responsibility.

3) All rentals are subject to contract terms and approval, please use the online form above to ask questions or contact our Function Manager for more information. 

4) Events may begin no earlier than 8 AM, and may not end later than 9 PM if outside, or at 10 PM if inside.

5) Non-profit Food Drives, Environmental activities and similar "parking lot only" non-profit community events will be handled on a case-by-case basis. Please use the online form above to contact our Function Manager for more info.

6) The maximum number of people permitted for any event at the Nahant Life Saving Station, inside and out is 100. There may be up to 60 people seated at tables inside the station. Tables may also be set up outside the station to accommodate more than 60 people but the total number of people may be no more than 100.

7) No busses or trolleys may be used to drop off or pick up people for private events.

CATERING | BARTENDING | WAITSTAFF
The Nahant Life-Saving Station has partnered with a diverse list of local preferred caterers, who have made guarantees providing insurance and other protections that NPT needs. If you strongly wish to hire a caterer that does not appear on this list, NPT is prepared (if given enough time) to offer your caterer the opportunity to sign a catering contract with us. You are also able to hold an event that does not involve a caterer. (Updated July 21, 2016)

LOCKING IN A DATE
A date is not reserved until NPT receives payment in full for the rental fee.
To book a date at the Station, we need to receive from you:
1. Payment in full of the rental fee, including a $250 security deposit
2. A hard copy of the event rental contract, completely filled out, every page initialed and signed on the first page
PROCEDURES
A small band of dedicated unpaid volunteers has been working hard to make it possible for the Station to accommodate you. We have thought carefully to work out procedures to make for good events, and to do so in a way that a non-profit like NPT can sustain. We have much more construction work to pay for before the entire renovation is complete. And even after that, the Station will need an ongoing income to sustain its long-term maintenance, repair, gradual improvement (like a red roof, eventually), historic interpretation, wages, utilities, insurance, and its support of civic uses. We have an obligation to make a businesslike use of the Station’s ability to host events — so that the Station can be sustained in the long term. Our Event Rental Contract form reflects those procedures. These contract provisions are important to a successful event, and will call for your initials on each page.
